We've long experienced problems with SBT (freeze, crash-to-desktop, "not ready reading drive") so we want to be sure that the file copying is not one of the causes. To perform the copy, we just use the "copy" command. The server is Windows 2008, the file system is NTFS, and the client computers are a mixture of Windows XP and Windows 7 computers. The Foxpro installation is stored on a network server that everyone accesses via a mapped drive. In order to extract the data from SBT, we currently make a copy of the relevant DBF file before opening the copied file with ODBC. we need to refer to the data that users are inputting into SBT.
